Facts: While Atty. Dollong-Galicinao (Clerk of Court and Ex-Officio provincial sheriff of the RTC – Bambang Nueva Vizcaya) was collecting a certain loan, she was complained to have banged her fist on top of Maddela’s desk causing the glass top of the table to break. Several people witnessed the incident and heard the accusations and unsavory remarks which were hurdled by Atty. Dollong-Galicinao against Maddela with regard to the latter’s failure to pay her debt.
Issue: Whether or not Atty. Dollong-Galicinao should be held administratively liable
Decision: Yes. Atty. Dollong-Galicinao is severely reprimanded for this simple misconduct, with a warning that a repetition of the same act in the future shall be dealt with more severely. She was ordered to replace the broken glass top with a new one.
